What we value
Exploration
We value the creative process as highly as the finished artwork.
We understand that creativity typically emerges through artistic play, and we encourage each child to explore their own ideas and interests.

Enjoyment
We know that children come
to our art clubs because
they love making art.
We value the enjoyment
children experience when they are engaged in creative play.
Progression
We recognise that children arrive at our clubs with a range of different abilities but that they all want to learn.
We provide expert guidance in a range of techniques and processes.
We work out what each child needs and we help them to develop knowledge and skills at their own pace.

Individuality
We encourage each child to value an individual approach to making art.
We want children to make decisions about their work and to create art that is uniquely their own.
Each drawing, painting and print they make will be different from those of other children.
Inclusion
We welcome children of all abilities.
We have extensive experience of supporting children with additional needs within mainstream settings.
We're committed to meeting children's needs and to giving them a safe and positive experience while in our care.
We make sure that every child, whatever their needs, enjoys their experience with Sketchbook.
